John Baron is a current member of the Supervisory Committee of AIESEC Slovakia. He has wide experience of the business environment of Central Eastern Europe and especially of the Slovak Republic where he has lived since 1993. As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a past Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in The Slovak Republic, he has a wide ranging network of business contacts in Slovakia and surrounding countries. He has chaired a number of high profile conferences and seminars both in Bratislava and London in support of FDI in the region. He is former managing director of Deloitte and KPMG and was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in June 2006 for services to British business and the community in the Slovak Republic.
